smartingen headen and unsafen bellien hafan. Ye scallen not 
againcoman cannen, ði efilen ðat ye ðe night before gedone hafen."
  "And waite," space He to ðe man, "till ðou in ðe morn 
seest, how ðy woman reallig outsaw!!"
